Church Lights

Taken on 16th December 2013 using a Canon EOS 7D. Taken in Our Lady of Victories Church, High Street Kensington, London, UK.



  1. How do you get a photograph like this, if i did this the light would probably be over saturated or it would be massively underexposed, how can you counter that so the blacks stay black the lights are not bloomed?

    1. Hello! Thank you for your comment! I actually used a polarising filter which diffused the light – was by pure accident to be honest as I didn’t realise I had left the filter on the lens!

      1. what good fortune ๐Ÿ˜€ nights shots never really work for me they are either massively over or underexposed because of the extremes of light/dark, that is an excellent picture you have there

      1. I have recently set the camera to RAW, but have not taken any night shots since doing so, I’ll practice a bit tonight, Thanks Dave.
